Concept Design

We design facilities that respond to the site, the community’s requirements and client budgets.

Following on from consultation and site analysis we design spaces that respond to each site including the topography, aspect, vegetation, orientation, existing infrastructure, adjoining facilities and budget. It can be an intimate smaller space for local users, a medium sized park that caters for differing users or a larger competition/Olympic style facility for the region. Budget will dictate whether the inclusion of landscape elements such as entry paths, planting or bespoke seating and shelters are an option for your project. Whatever the inclusions the design will be unique to the town or location.

Having both design and construction experience ensures that our projects can be delivered successfully whether it’s the technical build-ability through to accurate costing. These requirements are continually reviewed through the design stages to ensure they can be met.

Outcomes during the concept design stage may include site analysis plans, project design documents, 3D renders with design objectives and costings. Approval at this stage leads through to design development where the design will be further resolved, to ensure it smoothly transitions to the contract documentation stage for tender and/or construction.
